On we crack today for day 2. Have at it.
Screen showing 67/504 players left from the original 3 starting flights. I never like to look (it's just how I am) but it's showing 54 places get paid, and up top is $54,000 for the win. Let's dig in and get moving.
61 players left and we're up to level 16. I've not really got involved yet and my original table has broken. New table with no less than four UK players. Marvellous. I may as well have stayed in the Vic.
I've drifted down from 88 to 50 with zero hands. 59 left.
Nearing the end of level 16 and I've not seen a hand all morning. We're 4 spots off the money and as people who know me will be aware I'm never one to want to limp into a cash. Literally for the past 2 levels I've looked down at 84,92,J3 etc so have had nothing to work with, so in that respect its been easy to play. Getting close to where I might need to start jostling a bit now to make something happen. Being in or out of the money is kind of irrelevant.
Now on the bubble with 55 players.. Lowest chips on my table. Marvellous. We're playing hand for hand. I started the day on 88k. Now on 43k at 2500/5000/500.
As Barry Manilow once said... "Oh Mandy, you came and you gave without taking. But I sent you away, oh Mandy".
Shit. Sorry. I mean he said..."Looks like we made it".
Bubble burst and we're in the money for a min-cash of $1200. Not great but it's a start. Now to try to spin my meagre stack up to something workable or die in the attempt.
Out. 48th for $1200.
Played one hand all day that was even remotely playable. At 2500/5000/500 one guy opened and I shoved my 4bb stack with 33. I don't mind a call, I'm losing half my stack next 2 hands anyway.
English guy behind me shoves 100k, everyone folds. Hopefully it's AK.
Nope QQ, and I'm gone.
Little to say. Disappointing day 2 but such is the life I've chosen. Another small cash. Just keep trying to make right decisions. Rest up for tomorrow's WSOP $1500 event. Cheers for messages, may update later.
