IMPROVING YOUR GAME
I've coached players over the years with some great success. The caveat I always try to impose on people who want to explore improving their own game is that I'm not teaching them to play like me. They're not me, they're themselves, and you really do have to find your own style and temperament to go forward in the game.
People see me win a tournament and think they should go off and play the same way, which is almost always an error. A knowledge of poker mathematics and the dynamics in different stages of tournaments is advisable yes, but my coaching has always been mainly designed to eradicate the obvious fundamental mistakes in someone's play firstly. Then we try to find and enhance their individual playing style, bring up their awareness of the players around them, and tune them in to using their own advantages, and exploiting the weaknesses of opponents at any table to the maximum.
